Four days to go!! I leave for the Alps early Saturday morning. I put the winter tyres on the minibus yesterday, my snow chains came today. I have my high vis' jackets, my triangles, my bulb kit, a torch, you name it I've got it, even a broom to brush the snow off the van roof. I've bought some staple food stuffs, Baked Beans, Marmite, John Smiths beer etc. Nothing cheap in France except bread and cheese!
The CD selection is sorted, as are the memory chips, USB sticks and of course the Lap Top.
The spare room looks like a warehouse, people are paying me to take stuff over for them. I've got paint, crackers, a table, a dust extractor and there is more to come.
Mountain boots, waterproofs, gloves and beanie are by the front door all ready. I guess I'm a bit excited, my new adventure begins soon. Oh yeah, better go and pack some clothes!!
I know, calm down already, it's just a job! Well it's a new business for me transferring skiers from Geneva Airport up to the High Alps. So, trust me it's exciting, the mountain roads alone will get the adrenalin pumping.
This is just the begining, the journey by road from Kent to Morzine is around 11 hours. So I'll only blog about that on Sunday. So watch this space!!
